The Path Less Traveled: Matt and Mindy's Inspiring Tale of Following Their Dreams and Finding Happiness
The Wheel and the World is a concept that came about from years of spiritual practice. The wheel has many aspects to it from the Wheel of Fortune in tarot to the Wheel of the Year, it is so simple, yet there is this depth that links us to the far-reaching ability of us humans, the way we can manipulate the world around us to create ease is so powerful. This concept carries so much weight, the wheel changes everything. We can propel forward, we can grind flour, we can move at speed. Now the world is in our hands. As humans we have the ability to create our worlds. When we truly harness our innate power, we can see depth and we can find fulfilment.
Matt & Mindy are a married couple who live a life a bit differently to most. They have worked together for nearly 20 years in their own businesses and have four children whom they homeschool. Both have unique abilities and skills that they harness to try and live in the most fulfilled way possible.
Many of the social norms that are inherent in Western society are in place to keep people in rotation of a system that benefits only the few. This often leads to discontent and feelings of inadequacy as people work to chase the dreams they were sold as necessary.
The Wheel and the World aims to empower people to create a life for themselves that is meaningful with more substance. Showcasing real life examples, Matt and Mindy are here to demonstrate some practical insights that can harnessed by anyone to find the inner strength to lead the life they have always dreamed of. Coming from the perspective of real people that are not wealthy, who have real life struggles, there is no bells and whistles here.
Mindy's Journey: From Passion to Purpose in the World of Holistic Healing
Mindy is a qualified Naturopath, Herbalist and Spiritual healer. Mindy qualified as a Naturopath in 2017 and went on to become a qualified herbalist in 2018. She has always been drawn to the old ways, whether it be cooking, gardening, making remedies, spiritual beliefs, Mindy finds solace in integration, our modern world with the old knowledge, the imprint on the soul. Having grown up with a mum who was a tarot reader, Mindy has developed her spiritual skills over the years and continues to do so. She works in her very busy private practice at her home, as a natural medicine practitioner. She has a passion for using her intuitive skills in combination with acquired knowledge to help others to heal. Over the years she has worked to research and develop her skills, not only professionally, but also personally. This has meant some challenges that have been overcome that have allowed for change to preside so that life can take a different turn, a more fulfilling turn to finding some balance. This is where the inspiration for the wheel and the world has come from.
Master of None? The Multifaceted Life of Matt
Matt is a Jack of all trades, coming from the world of construction from a young age, he always had an innate ability to repair and fix the world around him. Sometimes this meant pulling things apart to see how they fit. The journey to developing these skills began with a carpentry apprenticeship in the late 1980’s. Since then, Matt has run his own businesses, inspired by his Uncle who had a very successful self-employment career, it really made sense to be your own boss. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t worked for others, but it does mean that self-employment has been the mainstay of Matt’s life. He always wanted a family, children and a home that he could tinker with and provide and derive inspiration. His passion is to create something amazing out of very little or fix things with stuff already available. He has a gift for innovation and application, which is exciting to be able to tap into here.
Defying Expectations: Matt and Mindy's Beautiful Relationship Beyond Society's Norms
Matt and Mindy are different people in love and life, but are on the same page for the ‘big’ stuff. As a team they complement each other very well. Over the years they have refined many aspects of life to find the passion and purpose that they live with today. They work together, parent together and live together, the basis of this working well is always communication. As individual people in a relationship, they do have different skills, perceptions and needs, but the precipice of flow and energy are central to their connection.
Wheel and the world is a glimpse into their private world for you to have a look. The hope is not that you’ll do it the same way, but that you may feel some inspiration to start living life on your own terms. Most of what we have been taught is that we need to exist within certain confines of existence in order to be safe, but when we break down these barriers, we start to see possibilities and with possibility comes opportunities.
